Submitting from your smartphone

Open fixcity.org/racks/new/ on your phone's browser. The map will use your GPS location automatically. Snap a photo of the location, then fill in the address and description.

What to include in your submission

• Exact address — Include the cross street (e.g., "224 McGuinness Blvd at Greenpoint Ave")
• Type of location — Store entrance, transit stop, park entrance, library, etc.
• Sidewalk width — NYC DOT requires at least 12 feet of clear sidewalk after installation
• How many racks — Estimate how many racks the demand warrants (1 rack holds 2 bikes)

Verifying existing requests

Browse pending rack requests near you. Visit the location in person to check that it meets placement guidelines, then mark it verified.

SeeClickFix integration

You can also submit bike rack requests through SeeClickFix and tag them with "bike rack" — verified SeeClickFix requests may be incorporated into FixCity.
